Automotive Fine Arts Society 29th Exhibit at Pebble Beach Concours 2014

Carmel CA, Aug 16-17, 2014 – Sponsored by The Lincoln Motor Company for the 19th year, the AFAS exhibit showcased the latest creations of the finest automotive artists in the world at the Lodge at Pebble Beach in beautiful Pebble Beach California during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

"Classic Proportions" competition piece by Richard Pietruska

Pietruska featured a series of new sculptures each with a magnificent car that slowly revolves into a figurative image on a black granite base. One of the sculptures is titled, “Beauty with a Twist.” Approximately 60”, this bronze piece captures the timeless beauty of a Talbot Lago Teardrop Coupe that twists into an elegantly curved woman’s body on the reverse side. Other new sculptures include a Lamborghini Aventador, Mercedes W196, Delahaye and McLaren P1.

"Big Blue" competition piece by Tony Sikorski

Sikorski’s sculptures for the AFAS exhibit depict classic speedsters, like the 1932 Roadster. The sculptures, “Big Blue” and “Texas Tornado” sit high off their bases on stretched out wheels while burning rubber. The cars appear to melt off the sculptures going at tremendous speeds with stripes of paint streaking off the cars.

Ferrari by Dennis Brown

Dennis Brown has a passion for racing speedsters and classic cars that is reflective in his art. His artistic style is fresh and gives intense color and vitality to the cars he paints. Brown works in a variety of mediums, but the majority of his art starts out as outlines in pen and ink. He then finishes the piece by filling their interior spaces with transparent acrylics.
