Gooding & Company Auction - McLaren P1 Reveal
Pebble Beach CA, Aug 16 2013 - Gooding & Company’s 10th Anniversary celebration featured another McLaren debut on preview night Friday. Last year Gooding showed off the MP4-12C - this day was the P1's turn. On a bigger stage this year, McLaren put considerable muscle into the show surrounding the reveal. Michael Flewitt, McLaren President and CEO provided an impassioned short history of 50 years - wrapped up in the statement that the P1 "is captured in the best roadcar we can deliver today."
Rule number one in delivering your message is that you want to project your voice. When you are the best, you can also afford to project your vision. The world of McLaren minds came to life on the back stage wall - and also on the grey cover laden car that we already know lurks the P1. Wild animations of flying cars and parts and dust and light provided a studio worthy ride of entertainment.
