Handicapping The Monterey Collector Car Auctions 2013
Vintage Motorsport, Aug 11 2013 - With the U.S. stock market frothing at a nearly 20% gain so far this year, it's safe to say the 1-percenters may be feeling flush, or at least even more sanguine than a year ago about their financial security. That steady uptick in investment portfolios could be a harbinger for next week's Monterey collector car auctions, as well-heeled buyers converge on that California peninsula for a smorgasbord of vintage car racing, concours events and 1,132 automotive lots up for grabs (that's down slightly from last year's 1,208 consignments).
