Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2013: Simplex Automobiles
The Old Motor, Aug 22 2013 - The 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance featured one of the largest gatherings of Simplex automobiles in quite some time. The Simplex is one of the legendary early cars that were built here in the U.S., right in the heart of New York City, between the years of 1907 and 1913. It followed the earlier Smith & Mabley “Simplex” which was designed along the lines of the very successful “Mercedes Simplex”, which that fabled maker started building at the start of the last century.
