Road Kings Car Show: 25th Annual Picnic in the Park
Burbank CA, June 8 2014 - It's pretty hard to beat a summer Sunday in Burbank - even when it's not summer yet. Given 90 degrees and other good reasons, the Annual Road Kings Car Show is the local signal of summer. This a long standing reunion, where folks come from all over the place. After of 60 years as an organization, the famed car club has become a big family with many branches and generations. Over 600 cars strode into Johnny Carson Park for the 25th Annual event - one of every kind and stripe. In the heart of Hotrod heaven, "The Hills are Alive with... Color!"

1966 Chevrolet C 10: Unrestored Super Survivor - This truck is nearly 100% untouched, just as it left the Fremont CA assembly line in 1966 including: Factory turquoise paint, interior, bed, engine, transmission, etc. Odometer reads 8900 actual miles. Original owner claims even the tires had never been replaced!
Stored indoors since new, and used only lightly on a berry farm for a few years in the sixties, it was parked after its owner was forced to give up driving due to health issues. It then remained in the same garage/barn basically unused for nearly forty years. It was listed for sale on Ebay in December 2007 by the original owner.
