Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance - Batmobile
Beverly Hills, Jun 16 2013 - The Batmobile wins Rodeo Drive Award at Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance.

The Batmobile, designed and owned by George Barris - the original "King of Kustomizers". Designed exclusively for the 1966 motion picture Batman based on the popular TV series, the Batmobile was styled and engineered with the many different special effects innovations by Barris Kustom Industries.

Originally it started off as the $250,000 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. Mr. Barris' creations are legendary in the world of television and motion pictures including the likes of the original television series such as "The Munsters", The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Nightrider". The original Batmobile from the TV show was sold earlier this year for a world record $4.6 Million dollars surpassing the price paid for the 1960's original James Bond Aston Martin.
