After 98 years of continuous operation, an organization will either be perpetually on the edge of extinction or distinction. Witness the abundance of scenery, people and automobiles in play at the Vancouver International Auto Show and you can see pretty clearly which path this event is travelling.
As Executive Director, Jason Heard has led the charge for building the last 4 years of growth. Jason does not need any winding up to describe the show, the industry, the market, the contribution of the New Car Dealer's Association of BC, and packaged up with his personal mission to help all.
Fred Keating further turns Jason's key on camera opening day of the 2018 show, with a lot of questions on hand and handily answered. Keeping a big show relevant and attractive is an ongoing challenge, especially in an industry in process to be upended by technology.
Given the hyperactive marketplace for a lot of high end consumer goods, Vancouver is destined to be a prime driver of the Canadian automobile industry - whatever that future is.
